You can now manage what type of content your community is able to publish. The feature was released to all platforms today.
Now, you can choose the default post type(s) on your community portal. Community admins are able to choose Questions, Discussions, Articles, or Blogs as the content types available on their community. What are the differences between these content types:
Discussion: Great for ongoing dialogue with others in the community. Threaded replies are ordered chronologically.
Question: Perfect for finding definitive answers on a topic. The answers are ordered by votes and users can request answer from other users.
Post: A very simple status update with comment and like.
Article: Similar to discussions. Mostly used for sharing knowledge and information.
To do the settings and learn more about the post types, go to your admin panel and click on the "content type" from the admin tools on the left toolbar.
