Introducing the all-new moderation panel. A place to have a 360 view of items that require your attention to keep your community healthy.
Approve new member requests. archive reported posts by other members and allow pending posts to get published. All in one panel.
What problems have been addressed?
- It used to be that moderators did not have access to the moderation tools (the irony) within the admin panel due to access level. Now both admin and moderators can manage their respective groups.
- The tools and settings were scattered around the admin panel which made it very hard to find.
- There was no way to find pending items unless you check the admin panel or spot them in the feed.

The above items are all now resolved. New features will get improved iteratively based on your feedback. Check the new moderation panel (directly accessible from the profile dropdown) and let us know what you think and how it could get better. 🤘
A much needed update! 🙌One future update I'm really excited about is the ability to multi-select moderation items to take an action on all of them at once, instead of having to click through each individual one. This will specially help larger communities with lots of items to moderate and generally save lots of time. Moderating a community is tough work!
I just now approved a pending request of a member to join the group for our affiliates 😃
This is indeed a crucial update. In terms of improvement, the ability to perform bulk actions on a range of pending items would be awesome. Also, totally love the new design!
Within the Moderation Panel - it would be good to have the ability to see the entire Thread if we are approving a comment. Or at least the title

On the Reported post, Dismiss deletes the post and approve dismisses it. Is this a mistake?
Thanks for the feedback. You are right. It's not technically a bug but the wording is confusing. We are going to change it to "keep" and "delete".

Is the moderation panel CSS editable at the moment? We are wanting to make changes to the colors and text placement.
Showing where it says pending items. it says 5 but then says there's nothing to moderate. this video shows what i mean.
Thanks @Steve Allen for your report. We are aware that in some communities there are some content are not deleted properly which end up in the moderation. We are going to fix those items however this operation takes a bit of time.
For our personal requirements, what would be a game changer and highly useful for the ease of our ambassadors/moderators would be to see the numbers and % of unanswered and unread/uncommented on posts. Based on the different types of posts. E.G. Write post and Question
Plus ability to search members and assign moderators here.
I'd also like to add that it would be nice if a notification was automatically sent to the user whose post was approved by an admin otherwise they would have to check manually?

Could you take a look at notification settings?
tribe sends to much spam, which makes users unsubscribe and stop using the forum.
it should only send “daily email digests” for topics and “weekly digests” for categories.

It would be really nice to add in the following abilities:
1) add business rules to the mod panel so you could assign moderators to a group or topic
2) add business rules for virtual currency so that they earn currency automatically for fulfilling a set task (with final approval being authorized in the moderator panel

Hi, I have the same bug, came on here to see if it had been talked about. I'm assuming that because this update is only a month old and your post only a week old that this is a very fresh change. Hopefully if more people report and discuss the bugs the problem will be solved!

The only improvement: How can we take moderation to the GROUP level instead of community levels. SOME groups DO NOT need moderations - while others do! :)
Hi everyone -
Has anyone had issues with posts containing banned words showing up? We are also seeing flagged posts. In the Moderation panel, we see the flagged posts, but not the posts with banned words -and to be clear, both are still visible in the community. Wondering if we are missing something. We have the app installed, the banned words module checked off and our banned words listed.
Are we missing something?
