[CHECK ADMIN'S REPLY UNDER THIS POST] Hidden group's content are not so hidden from moderators and admins. By clicking on a member's name, moderators can see all content of a member even if it is posted in hidden groups of which the moderators are not a member though they can't see that content on their feed. This makes hidden groups accessible for moderators.
Where am I?
In Tribe you can ask and answer questions and share your experience with others!
This disturbes me too! the whole concept of secret groups is to be secret.
This is completely intentional. Community admins and moderators should be able to access all the groups inside the community in order to be able to manage and moderate the community.
If you want someone to have restricted moderation or admin access, instead os changing their role by editing their profile account, you need to add the person as a "group moderator" or "group admin" so that they will have these accesses on specific groups only. You can learn more here.
Personally I don't want people to be able to hide post from admins
My community will never be open for people to violate local law or community rules
Besides people using it to break site rules, In our country if someone uses the website to conduct illegal business we are responsible under the law and can be charged for any criminal activity via our websites
On my site you are a guest, paid or free, You may never use the site in violation of the local laws OR community site rules. If you think you should be allowed to I don't want you in my community putting my company at risk
Think of it how you wish
But even if you rent a hotel meeting room you cant simply do as you please in that space, private meeting or not, and this is how I personally want it regardless of how others run their sites
I understand everyone has a preference, this is mine
your community users "cannot" hide anything from the admins. As mentioned in my comment above, community admins can see all the secret groups and the posts inside them. Also, you can give only the "admins" the option to "create a new group". This way, your users cannot create their own groups, and they are able to use the ones that you have created.
