πŸ“’ Content-Type Got Rich: Released on May 1st, 2019

Community members can now attach photos, URLs, and files and mention others using @ when publishing a β€œpost” content.

We have made it easier for users to reply to a β€œdiscussion”. Also, discussions look better in the feed since we display the profile images of the first five participants.

Now, we merge every content type (post, question, discussion, article) into one feed. This change is implemented in all feeds including home feed, topic feed, group feed, and later on, on user profile feed. You can filter the contents based on their type, using the dropdown on the top-left of the feed.

πŸ“’ Merging Similar Questions: Released on April 2nd, 2019

Only admins are able to merge similar questions.Β 

Merging similar questions means all the answers and comments of one question will be displayed for all similar/merged questions. This way, there is no need to answer all the similar questions separately. Once a question is answered, all the merged questions will display that answer too.

πŸ“’ Tribe New Content Type: Released on March 25th, 2019

You can now manage what type of content your community is able to publish. The feature was released to all platforms today.Β 

Now, you can choose the default post type(s) on your community portal. Community admins are able to choose Questions, Discussions, Articles, or Blogs as the content types available on their community. What are the differences between these content types:

Discussion: Great for ongoing dialogue with others in the community. Threaded replies are ordered chronologically.Β 

Question: Perfect for finding definitive answers on a topic. The answers are ordered by votes and users can request answer from other users.Β 

Post: A very simple status update with comment and like.Β 

Article: Similar to discussions. Mostly used for sharing knowledge and information.Β 

To do the settings and learn more about the post types, go to your admin panel and click on the "content type" from the admin tools on the left toolbar.Β

πŸ“’ Sign-Up Wall: Released on Jan 1st

The sign-up wall is a feature released on our App Store. By installing this app, visitors would need to sign-up to be able to see the content fully while the content is being indexed by Google.

Therefore, when you publish an interesting content on your community, people would not just read it and leave. They will need to sign-up into your community to read the content.Β

πŸ“’ Email Verification: Released on Feb 15th

All the members will receive an email verification message on top of the community pages. This message asks the users to verify their email address. This is to confirm that the member is a real person with a valid email address. Once you click on this message, you will receive an email with a verification link.Β

An "Admin Support Live Chat" is enabled on all Tribe communities. Only community admins are able to see and use this support chat. Now, community admins can easily contact Tribe's Customer Support team via live chat anytime they have a question or a feature request.Β

You can easily enable the Private Mode in your community. By enabling this feature, only logged in users can access your community.

πŸ“’ Automated Welcome Email: Release on Feb 18th

Your new community members will receive a welcome email automatically, right after they sign-up. You can put some necessary information/promotions in your welcome email, like rules and policies of your community, to get your members ready for on-boarding. To use this feature, you need to install this Welcome Email App from our App Store for free.

How to install an app to my tribe community?

Once the app is installed, you can define the body and title of your email, the email address that sends the messages, and the name for the person sending the emails.

If you want to receive a test welcome email, the email will be sent to the email address you are currently using to login to the community as an admin. Please make sure you check your spam folder if you cannot find the test email in your inbox.Β 
Please make sure you click on "enable" button. Β
