How to invite members individually and in bulk?

Learn how you can invite members individually or in bulk to your community.

When you want your community to be private and exclusive, then setting your community to "invitation" will do the job. Only admins are able to change the registration settings to "public" or "invitation".

Registration with invitation means that only members who receive an invitation email are able to use their email address to register in your community. 

Let's walk through how to send invites.

First, we need to learn how to set the registration type of your community. 

1. Go to Admin Panel

2. Go to Access then head on to Registration as shown below

You will then be able to set the Registration to Invite or Public.


Now, let's move on to how to send invites to your potential members. Here's how you can invite individually or in bulk. 

Individual

1. Go to Admin Panel

2. Head on to Members then head on to Invitations.


3. After you set the email address and the name, don't forget to include what is the role of that user (admin, moderator, or member).

4. You will also have the ability to include a custom message to make your invite more personal.


Inviting in Bulk

1. Go to Admin Panel

2. Head on to Members then head on to Invitations and click on "add many at once" as shown below:

3. You will be taken to another window where you will be able to write down all the email addresses separated by commas.

4. You will be able to set the role of the invitees after clicking Add invitees as shown below.


5. You will also have the ability to include a custom message to make your invite more personal.

6. Just click on Invite members once you are done. 

Note: You can check the status of the invites if it was sent by checking on the Email logs by going to Admin Panel > Members > Invited Users > Email Activity Logs.



It will show in the logs if the invites were sent or if they failed. This is a good place to check if one of your invitees says that he/she didn't receive the email. You can check here and advise them to check their SPAM folder as well.
